Dallas Children’s Theater Field Trip

Friday October 9th at 10:30 am

We are thrilled to have you join us for our first GCA field trip to the Dallas Children’s Theater:

Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed: The Rock Experience
Based on the hit children’s book by Mo Willems. Wilbur and all his fellow naked mole rats in the Tunnel have always been, well…naked. Wondering what other possibilities are out there, Wilbur discovers a love for clothing and style. When word of his new passion turns the Tunnel upside down, he proves to everyone that there’s no need to be just like everyone else. A special lesson and rock show all in one, Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed has energetic songs, quirky characters, and a story unlike any other.

Recommended for ages 4 and up

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND.
Registration will close once we hit the max occupancy of 100 guests.*
You must register and pay for each person in attendance for the show.
If you need to cancel for any reason, please email nicole.taylor@gcafrisco.org to release your tickets.*
Parents are responsible to register and pay for themselves if attending. If not attending, parents must coordinate with another family to be responsible for their child(ren).
Please arrive on time to ensure you don’t miss the show.
Wear your blue GCA Eagles Field Trip T-Shirt (or another spirit wear tee!).

*Once the maximum ticket sales of 100 tickets has been reached, a wait list for cancellation tickets will be formed on a first come first serve basis.

Lower School Parent Teacher Conferences

Thursday September 24th, 2026

We look forward to partnering with our families as we celebrate the growth and success of our students during Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences at Grace Covenant Academy. Please remember that there will be no lower school or homework on P/T Conference Day, Thursday, September 24th.

Children are welcome to accompany their parents to conferences but will be asked to remain in the hallway and engage in a quiet activity.

Please use the link(s) below to sign up for you child’s upcoming parent-teacher conference.

Be sure to sign up for the correct grade of your student.
(If you have multiple students, sign up individually for each via their appropriate link)
Sign up for one conference slot only please for each of your student(s).
Please make a note in the comments (to be seen by the teacher only) if you have specific concerns or topics you would like to address.

Student Absence

Email attendance@gcafrisco.org for student absences & tardies by 8am.

Parents, we try to spread love not germs, please keep your student home if they are showing signs of illness. Students need to be:

fever free for 24 hours before returning to school
on antibiotics for at least 24 hours before returning to school (dependent on illness).
no upset stomachs for at least 24 hours before returning to school

If you do keep your student home, please email attendance@gcafrisco.org to let us know and we will let their teacher know.

Due Date for Work: Excused Absences Only

Students with excused absences of any length should turn in all work by the second class day back at school. Work that was due the first day that was missed is due immediately upon return to school. For example, if a student who attends class three days a week (M-T-Th) is absent Monday and returns to school Tuesday, the homework that was due on Monday is due the day they return: Tuesday. The homework due Tuesday is due Thursday. (Extenuating circumstances may allow for other arrangements to be made. Please contact individual teacher.)

If you know of an upcoming doctor appointment, vacation, college visit, etc. please fill out the Planned Absence form below. Our attendance team will make teachers aware of your student’s absence.
