At Grace Covenant Academy, we believe that being in community with one another, keeping Christ at the center, and partnering closely with parents are essential to the flourishing of our students. Together, we desire to cultivate young people who love the Lord, pursue truth and excellence, and become faithful witnesses for Christ to the next generation. This important day is designed to equip, encourage, and prepare our families as we begin a new school year together.
Attendance is required for at least one parent or guardian from every GCA family, although we strongly encourage both parents to attend.
Monday, August 10th–
Lower School GCA EXPO: 8:30am-9am
The day will begin with our Parent Expo. During this time, you will have the opportunity to:- Learn more about the programs and ministries offered through GCA
- Purchase GCA spirit wear
- Complete your registration with our Raptor Visitor Management System
- Verify and update your family’s contact information to ensure our records are accurate
Lower School Parent University: 9am-3pm
Following the Expo, Parent University will provide valuable sessions led by our faculty and staff. You will have the opportunity to hear directly from your child’s teacher, learn about classroom expectations, curriculum, and school procedures, and discover ways we can partner together to support your child spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally.This year’s Parent University sessions will also include important new information specific to your child’s grade level, classroom, and the upcoming school year. For our 5th Grade parents, there will be a special opportunity to learn more about the upcoming Sky Ranch trip, including important trip details and what to expect as we prepare for this meaningful experience.
We encourage you to make this day a priority and take advantage of this meaningful opportunity to connect with your child’s teachers and the GCA community. We will also enjoy a time of fellowship over lunch, followed by our Helpful Tips Q&A Parent Panel. Experienced GCA parents will share practical insights and answer questions to help your family navigate the school year with confidence and encouragement.

Tuesday, August 11th-
Lower School Meet The Teacher: 10-11am
Students will have the opportunity to meet their teacher, spend time in their classroom, and begin building excitement for the year ahead. We will also have photo opportunities for families, and Kona Ice will be on hand for you to purchase a sweet treat, as we celebrate the beginning of another wonderful school year together!
August 12th: First Home Day!
