GCA Athletics

At Grace Covenant Academy, we are convinced that athletic programs are an important component of a well-rounded education. Athletic teams provide great opportunities for one-on-one student ministry and character development.

At GCA, we only hire coaches who are committed to using sports as a way to create disciples of Jesus Christ. Our coaches take the time to connect with our students, and they care about their hearts. So our hope is that the relationships developed through athletics will lead to more faithful, gifted, loving followers of Christ. Additionally, our coaches are committed to cultivating an environment where excellence and godliness are encouraged.

Ultimately, our hope is that God will enable us to bring him honor by making disciples through our athletic programs.

Why Sports?

Sports bring people together – At our sports games we all come together to cheer on our teams and build community.

Sports can be a bridge to connect us to people who are different from us – We teach our student athletes how to use the sports they play as “bridge opportunities” to connect with others, in the hope of sharing the Gospel

Sports are a great opportunity for discipleship – Failure and growth are a natural part of athletic competition, and our coaches will take advantage of these natural parts of the sport to point all students to the Gospel.
