Join us to help reset the building!

Pick your availability!

Are you a strong young person or just someone who loves to serve? We could use your help! Every day after school, we have a set up crew that resets the building for the other groups that use it. This is a fun, team effort and we would love anyone that is available to help!

Typically on Mondays and Tuesdays the rest is finished around 3:45 and on Thursdays we have a slightly bigger job so it is closer to 4:00 or 4:15.

Sign up below if you are free any Monday/Tuesday or Thursday, you don’t have to commit to weekly, just pick which days you are free and want to join our team!

February 15th- We will be opening up enrollment to new families as well

We had an amazing state of school this Tuesday and here is a quick recap of the meeting for those who couldn’t make it due to weather:

– GCA is doing GREAT — We were inspired to stay on track in the vision God has called each of us to as a family.
-GCA  had a great report from the accreditation team
-GCA is more financially stable than we have ever been.
– We are quickly running out of space and our short term goal is grow BETTER before BIGGER

PRAY: We ask all families to PRAY with us as we seek solutions to the space shortage- and for the right families to join us this next year in the very spots we will have available.

We spent the 2nd half of the meeting brainstorming and putting our ideas on post it notes as we get our GCA improvement plan in place for our next 3-5 years.  These areas for improvement include:
*Flourishing Families: How can GCA be a GREAT place for families to flourish and grow?
* Prepared Students: Making sure students are ready for their next step
*Student Find Their Place- Making GCA a place that is a community where students find “their people.”
*Resources that Support and Inspire: Ideas for facilities and other resources that may support our students, families, and teachers.

We will be inviting our GCA parents who are interested  to join us in some Charettes (collaborative  meetings)  this spring for further brainstorming and planning.

National Honor Society Chapter at GCA!

GCA is starting a national honor society chapter! This is very well known and respected student recognition program that will highlight students in 10th-12th grade.

How it will work?

Any students in 10th-12th grade who have a current 3.0 UGPA or higher will have the opportunity to submit a candidate information form to be considered for selection. Click HERE to see the NHS Selection Process at GCA. The 5 member Faculty team will meet January 20th to select members of the National Honor Society. You will receive an email if you are academically eligible to join the National Honor Society.

When the 5 member faculty team has made their selections, they will notify students who have been selected to join the National Honor Society the week of January 20th. Membership at the Induction ceremony, January 31st after school is mandatory in order to be a part of the National Honor Society chapter at GCA.

List of Member Obligations:

Membership in the National Honor Society (NHS) is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a high school student. Our chapter has worked hard to bring the accomplishments of outstanding students to the attention of parents, teachers, peers, and the community. Our chapter strives to give practical meaning to the Society’s standards of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. These four ideals are considered as the basis for selection. No student is inducted simply because of a high academic average. The National Honor Society strives to recognize the total student—one who excels in all of these areas. The standards used for selection are:

Scholarship: 3.0 cumulative average

Leadership, service, and character: as demonstrated by activities and teacher evaluations

Membership, however, is more than an honor. It is an ongoing responsibility and an obligation to continue to demonstrate those outstanding qualities that result in a student’s selection. Membership also carries a responsibility to the chapter.

In order to be a part of the Grace Covenant Academy National Honor Society chapter, you must complete these obligations:

  • attend the quarterly meetings (third Thursday of every quarter from 7:15-7:40 a.m. to check in on academic progress/service projects
  • complete at least 10 service hours in the 2022-2023 school year
